I am a Certified Interior Decorator and received my CID designation from the Certified Interior Decorators International upon successfully completely their exam qualifications. CIDI only allows those who have successfully received diplomas from approved Interior Decorating schools to become certified. I maintain my membership in CIDI and feel it is important to continually strive for excellence in the field.

Always wanting to better serve my clients decorating needs I regularly increase my knowledge and resources through continuing education. In addition I have done extensive study in curb appeal and am able to recommend ideas that can enhance the house from the outside as well. When decorating I am dedicated to working with every budget as I truly believe there are ways to enhance every room or yard even when funds are limited.

It is equally important to not only understand the client’s style but also how they want to live in the room. A room that fulfills the need of its function is just as important as its aesthetic. For clients who aren’t quite sure what their style is I encourage them to look through designer magazines to find what appeals to them. Then we can move more quickly toward creating the desired space. If organization services are needed I am happy to assist clients to fill that need as well.

My training in Staging® comes from the creator and founder of Staging®, Barb Schwarz of Staged® Homes. As a realtor, Barb saw the need for preparing homes for sale and began Staging® her listings over 30 years ago. Today Staged® Homes is dedicated to maintaining leadership in the industry and has trained accredited Staging professionals™ across the world. I received my ASP™ (accredited Staging professional™) designation and went on to receive my ASPM™ (accredited Staging professional master™) designation. I am the first ASPM™ (Master) living in the Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C. region. I am also a member of the IAHSP™ (International Association of Home Staging Professionals) and the Washington, D.C. IAHSP™ Regional Chapter. I feel it is very important to be connected to the real estate and business communities to better serve my clients. I am committed to regularly receive continuing education from Staged® Homes in order to provide the best the industry has to offer.
